Health economics is the application of economic principles to the study of health and healthcare.
Learn about the most important problems in health economics and how they impact the job of practising health professionals. Learn the tools you’ll need to analyse and deal with the restricted resources that the healthcare industry is dealing with. As you develop your health research abilities, you will learn how to deal with the problems of resource allocation.
During your time at the University of Aberdeen’ Health Economics Research Unit, you will be working with a team of practising health economists who are actively involved in policy-shaping research (HERU). It is considered to be one of the most important centres of health economics in Europe. The Health Economics Research Unit (HERU) has been awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for continuous excellence in health economics research over the previous 40 years.
A health practitioner who wants to increase their grasp of health economics and research methodologies may consider pursuing this degree programme. You may customise your study hours to fit your schedule because it is part-time and entirely online.
